The Grammy winner, 30, shared a sweet moment with his longtime friend during the weekend desert festival
Jaden Smith will never say never to Justin Bieber.
The longtime friends were spotted hanging out at Coachella over the weekend and shared a sweet reunion moment.
In a video shared on TikTok, Smith, 25, playfully danced with his former collaborator before wrapping his arms around his neck. Bieber, 30, then went in and planted a quick kiss on Smith’s cheek as the “Icon” singer walked away to greet another person standing near the musicians.
Bieber was spotted at the festival throughout the weekend with his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, while Smith was also seen out and about with friends and made sure to stop by J Balvin’s headlining set on the festival’s last night to see his dad, Will Smith, surprise the crowd.

The 55-year-old actor delighted crowds when he joined Balvin on stage, shouting at the crowd, “Coachella!” before diving into a rendition of “Men in Black” from his 1997 hit movie. Smith rapped the lyrics to the song while Balvin stood beside him, and as the track reached its iconic dance breakdown, they performed the steps in unison, along with backup dancers.

In a post on her Instagram Stories, Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, shared a video of the performance, writing, “When @jbalvin makes an unforgettable night ✨.” Both she and Jaden were spotted amongst the large crowd watching the Bad Boys star take the stage.
Bieber, meanwhile, eventually got on stage himself as he, too, surprised crowds on the last day of the festival and joined Tems to perform “Essence Remix” for the first time. Tems, 28, had teased her performance on X earlier in the day, writing, “Coachella! I’m too exciteddd I have a surprise tonight 👀❤️🔥.”
The performance marked the third time the singer has graced the Coachella stage. In 2019, he made his first appearance in Indio, California as he surprised crowds during Ariana Grande’s performance and the two sang his 2015 hit, “Sorry,” together.
It was his first time onstage in two years at that point, as he acknowledged on stage, telling fans, “This is my first time on stage in two years. I had to get my groove back, my swag back.”
In 2022, Bieber once again surprised crowds as he came out during Daniel Caesar’s set and the duo performed their chart-topping hit, “Peaches.”
The Grammy winner’s surprise return to the stage – a rare occurrence since he canceled his Justice World Tour in 2022 after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome – came after he teased possible new music in the near future on Instagram in February.
Bieber posted two carousels of photos on Instagram full of shots of him in the studio and rehearsing on a microphone with bandmates, prompting excitement from his fans at his potential return. Even Instagram was excited, as the app’s official account commented, “Justin’s back 🥳.”

“There’s no divorce and no truth to that whatsoever,” the insider says. “They are very, very happy.”
