Former supermodel and current TV personality Heidi Klum is a mother to four children.

On August 27, the former Victoria’s Secret supermodel made quite the impression alongside her daughter, Leni Klum, during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, where the pair took over the La Grazia red carpet. The stylish duo wore pink and black corset gowns, respectively, designed by the top Italian brand, Intimissimi. The pair was also adorned with jewellery from the Lorraine Schwartz collection.

Leni Klum is the eldest of her siblings, Henry (19), Johan (18), and Lou (15), who are fathered by English singer, Seal.

The mother and daughter uploaded an Instagram Post chronicling the lead-up to the event, and the boat ride needed to reach their destination. Klum also shared photos of the two on her Instagram Stories.

Leni Klum was conceived when her mother, Heidi Klum, was involved with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, though their relationship ended unceremoniously while she was still pregnant. Seal, now Heidi’s ex-husband, officially adopted Leni in 2009 when she was 5 years old.

Interestingly, Heidi Klum shared via Instagram that she was four months pregnant with Leni when she walked in the 2003 Victoria’s Secret runway show. She announced on social media on her daughter’s 17th birthday.

Now that Leni is 21, she has been working as a model for some time, but Heidi had a stern rule that Leni could not begin a career in modelling until she was 16. Leni shared this in an interview with People Magazine, where she remembers being denied from participating in a Brandy Melville gig when she was only 12 years old:

“I was really sad about it, but in the end she was right. And I feel like that’s what sparked me to want to model more.”

Not that she is of age, Heidi Klum is happy to do everything in her power to set up Leni for success, as per another People Magazine interview in 2021:

“I’ve been helping her with deals and she has so many things in the pipeline. It’s really exciting. She’s doing the things I was always dreaming to do.”

Klum added:

“I said to her, at the end of the day you have to be happy with yourself. And don’t do anything you don’t want to do. It’s OK to say no. You don’t always have to please people. But I’m always with Leni. And she has a very good head on her shoulders.”

Heidi looks to continue to support her daughter through her modelling career.
