Schnipp schnapp.

Key Takeaways

  • Heidi Klum showed off a new set of eyebrow-grazing choppy bangs.
  • The style is more versatile than you’d think—so far this week she wore it with rocker-chic eye makeup, in a ’70s-inspired feathered look, and sleek and straight for a Jimmy Kimmel appearance.

We’re always being told to see a professional when it comes to beauty, and that is… so fair. I don’t trust myself anywhere near a micro needle or bleach bowl.

One thing I will DIY, though? A haircut. While the trained stylists obviously do it best, there’s something to be said for a quick intuitive trim or last-minute fringe.

Even Heidi Klum agrees. In the past, she was brave enough to give herself a new set of bangs. And while she left it up to the professionals for her most recent chop, I might try to copy the look on my own time.

Heidi Klum’s Choppy Bangs

In an Instagram video posted this week, the supermodel offered a little before-and-after content of her new cut by celebrity stylist Wendy Iles. The rocker-chic look features long, shaggy layers with plenty of face framing—matching choppy fringe included.

“Schnipp schnapp,” Klum captioned the video, giving a kiss to the camera.

The bangs (which are the only part of the cut I would attempt myself, I don’t have the skills for those layers) fell right at eyebrow length and were fairly light; you could see her forehead peeking through underneath.

Heidi Klum’s Styling Options

In a separate video, Klum showed another glimpse of the cut. This time, it was styled in a ’70s-inspired feathered blowout.

Later, she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel wearing a black mini dress and brand-new sexy red stiletto manicure. Hairstylist Ray Christopher had stylistic control for the evening, and decided to blow-dry those famous blonde locks sleek and straight.

The finished product looked a little less rocker-chic than the initial reveal, which I’d chalk up to the lack of super-smoky eye makeup. Instead, makeup artist Leah Darcy Pike gave Klum a soft glow complete with pink lip gloss.

Okay, auf wiedersehen! If you need me, I’ll be wielding scissors and old eps of Project Runway.
