Heidi Klum To Boost $160M Net Worth With Return To Project Runaway
“After almost a decade away, she was lured back to the show that she made so successful, and she’s really excited to be having another run at it,” a source told Life & Style. “When she left, she was really in need of a change.”

The campaign features iconic models like Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel in their first-ever joint campaign.
Heidi was a host, judge, and executive producer on the competition series from 2004 to 2017, becoming a fan favorite during her regular appearances on seasons one through 16. She delivered the iconic catchphrase “Auf Wiedersehen” when eliminating contestants, a nod to her German heritage. Heidi even won an Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program in 2013.
She eventually left the show in 2018 along with mentor Tim Gunn to star in Amazon Prime’s Making the Cut, explaining she wanted more creative control over a show than Project Runway had to offer.
“After 16 incredible seasons, I am saying ‘Auf Wiedersehen’ to Project Runway, a show that I was honored to host and help create,” she said in a statement.
Making the Cut debuted in 2020, but it failed to make the mark that Project Runway has. While its cancellation hasn’t been confirmed, there have been rumors the show is at least on hiatus, and Heidi’s transition back to PR seems to further fuel that theory. PEOPLE exclusively reported that Heidi is returning to Project Runway, though few other details have been revealed.
It’s expected the T.V. personality is getting a sizeable salary for the role. She was reportedly making $1.3 million season before leaving, so producers likely had to offer an equal or higher pay check to get her to come back, possibly in addition to more creative control.
Heidi has a reported net worth of $160 million already, having lent her face not only to T.V. and movies but to various campaigns and fashion brands, establishing her as one of the most sought-after models, even today. And apparently it runs in the family, as her eldest daughter, Leni Klum, is also quickly rising the ranks to supermodel status.
