The infamous Boris Becker returned to Germany just before Christmas to be with his family, after he was released from prison in the UK. However, it seems that’s not the case. Recently, the 6-time Grand Slam champion’s estranged model wife made heart-breaking revelations about the same. The 3-time Wimbledon champion, Becker, rose to fame when he won his first Grand Slam when he was 17. However, the German fell from grace, as a UK court sentenced him to 30 months in prison in the United Kingdom after he was adjudged to be guilty of fraud.
The German tennis legend took everyone by surprise, with his unprecedented journey from the Centre Court of Wimbledon to Huntercombe prison. And as per his statements, Becker used his jail time to reflect his doings. However, his estranged wife’s statements don’t suggest the same.
Boris Becker’s estranged model wife calls him the ‘devil’
With great fame comes greater responsibilities; the smoother the climb, the harder the fall. And we could say the same for the disgraced tennis legend, Boris Becker. From being known as Britain’s favorite German, Becker had to spend several weeks in prison for his crime. And when he was released, everyone anticipated it to be a happy family reunion. But that might not be true, as his model wife, Sharlely Kerssenberg, feels the contrary. She revealed that the German didn’t contact their son after he returned home until Christmas, and their conversation barely lasted 2 minutes.
Making heart-breaking revelations to the German newspaper Bild, she elaborated, “Boris can be charming and loving when he wants to, but also extremely hurtful with words. A devil”, reported the Daily Mail UK. She reminisced about the time when they used to have honest love. Kerssenberg feels that now it’s just the opposite, as the disgraced tennis legend doesn’t care at all.
Moreover, on being asked whether Boris loves his mother and his children, she had this say: “Boris loves his children and his mother. In the form in which love is possible for him.”
Further, the Dutch model added that it was the German tennis legend’s fault for being sentenced to jail, and hence, he duly paid his dues.
Talking about the disgraced German tennis icon’s nature, she said, “Prison didn’t make Boris a better person. Boris lives in a world in which everything revolves around Boris Becker”. Well, this statement has been contrary to the belief put in him by the American tennis legend, Martina Navratilova, on the occasion of his release from prison.
