Philadelphia Eagles player C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s mom has been in an online battle with Taylor Swift fans.
The drama kicked off after the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Following the victory, Gardner-Johnson, 27, took to social media to troll Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
“Should’ve Stayed with that thick s—’, the safety wrote via his Instagram Story alongside a photo of him taunting Kelce, 35, during the big game.
The caption was seemingly referring to Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, who was rooting for the Eagles at the Super Bowl (despite previously telling Us Weekly that she thought Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs would get the three-peat). Kelce and Nicole, 32, dated off and on for five years before calling it quits for good in 2022.

After Gardner-Johnson made headlines for his jab against Kelce, his mom, Delatron Johnson, was alerted to hundreds of one-star reviews of her restaurant. Johnson claimed that the negative reviews were coming from Swift’s fans.
“I have friends who were sending me the screenshots,” Johnson said in an interview with TMZ on Tuesday, February 11. “They were going, ‘Oh my god, look at this!’ And the first thing everyone said was, ‘the Swifties have attacked.’”
Johnson ran the restaurant the Kings Grill in Rockledge, Florida. According to the eatery’s Yelp page, the app has “temporality disabled” the profile due to an “unusual activity alert.”

One fan claimed via social media that they also “made an ICE report” for Johnson’s business.
While Johnson believes that the Swifties are responsible, many fans took to social media to condemn the actions of the ones who recorded the negative reviews.
“As a swiftie I’m shocked by this behavior I would never engage in something like [this.] Leave his mom out of it, she’s not involved,” one user wrote via X. “Sadly we have a few bad seeds like most fan bases.”
To counter the slew of negative feedback, a group of Eagles fans decided to help out and give the restaurant an overflow of positive reviews on their Google page.
Despite the drama, Johnson is not sweating over the alleged attempt to take down her business since the restaurant closed its doors last month.
“Yes, we’ve seen all the reviews. The joke is really on the Swifties and everyone entertaining the reviews because Kings Grill is closed,” she told the outlet.
Johnson shared that she is in the process of selling the restaurant so they can open a new spot. While Johnson gathered unwanted attention following her son’s remarks, she doesn’t blame him one bit.
“We’ve been dealing with this since he was a kid,” she said, noting Gardner-Johnson has always been a trash talker. “He talks the talk ’cause he can back it up. The same thing with his mother, I talk the talk because I can back it up.”
