Christmas Show: Ticket sales for Silbereisen’s show to begin
Host Florian Silbereisen (44) will once again ring in the Christmas season this year. In a few weeks, he will present his Christmas Show for the 20th time. The live show will be broadcast on November 29 on Das Erste, in the ARD Media Library, and on ORF – one day before the first Sunday of Advent. The event will take place at the Congress Center in Suhl. According to MDR, ticket sales will begin on Wednesday, October 8, at 12:00 noon.
Silbereisen’s Premiere in 2004
Since 2004, MDR has been bringing Christmas spirit to television screens with Silbereisen every year. Viewers can look forward to “emotional moments, festive music, and a atmospheric setting from Suhl” in 2025, according to the announcement.
The Eurovision show was first hosted by Florian Silbereisen on November 27, 2004. At that time, he welcomed guests such as former Chancellor Helmut Kohl (1930-2017) as well as singers Vicky Leandros (76), Frank Schöbel (82), Nana Mouskouri (90), David Hasselhoff (73), and Mireille Mathieu (79).

Regular features of the show include family Christmas songs by Rolf Zuckowski (78), a visit from the Nuremberg Christkind, and the Advent story. The show has visited Cottbus and Zwickau, but returned to Thuringia in 2007. Since then, the Christmas Show has been held in Suhl.
