The Klum-Samuels are one fashionable bunch. With parents as cool as supermodel Heidi Klum and R&B sensation Seal, the sibling quartet—made up of Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou—were bound to have style. In fact, the Project Runway host instilled them with chicness. “We have a rule in the house,” Klum once said. “Rule No. 1 is always to look cool, and rule No. 2 is don’t forget about rule No. 1. We have other rules…but the No. 1 rule is to always look cool.”

Klum had her first child, Leni, in 2004, from her short-lived relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore (they split before Leni’s arrival). Shortly after, Klum married Seal, who has raised Leni like his own. The couple went on to welcome Henry in 2005, Johan in 2006, and Lou in 2009. Although they divorced in October 2014, they have continued to co-parent as one big blended family, which includes Klum’s now-husband Tom Kaulitz and Seal’s long-term girlfriend Laura Strayer. Two of the siblings have emerged in the spotlight with their own modeling careers. The other two have stayed more low-key, but not for a lack of it-factor.

Leni Klum

Klum entered motherhood with the birth of her lookalike daughter, Leni, on March 4, 2004. Klum started Leni’s biological father, Briatore, in late 2003, but they split during her pregnancy. Klum started dating Seal shortly after and the pair married in May 2005. Come 2009, Seal officially adopted Leni, who was then five years old.

Leni has had her share of the spotlight in her young life. In fact, Leni made her runway debut in her mom’s belly; Klum walked the 2003 Victoria’s Secret show four months pregnant. “I am not alone walking down that catwalk here,” Klum captioned a video from the show in honor of Leni’s 17th birthday. “If I look close enough then I can see you bumping right along at 4 months @LeniKlum. I loved you before you were born, and I will love you long after I close my eyes forever.”

Now, Leni is a model herself, though her mom made her wait until she was 16 to start her career. Leni told People in a 2022 interview that her mom wouldn’t allow her to model for Brandy Melville when she was 12. “I was really sad about it, but in the end she was right. And I feel like that’s what sparked me to want to model more,” she explained. Her first gig was a cover shoot alongside her mom for Vogue Germany in 2020. The young model has since booked other big gigs including the covers of Rollercoaster magaziner, Harper’s Bazaar Germany, and Glamour Germany; in December 2024, the mother-daughter duo starred in a lingerie campaign for Intimissimi.

After graduating high school (and wearing one of her mom’s old dresses to prom), Leni moved to New York City to pursue an interior design studies degree and continue modeling. She has been dating Aris Rachevsky since November 2019, according to her Instagram.

Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel

Klum and Seal brought their relationship to the next level when they welcomed their first child, a son named Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, on September 12, 2005, in Los Angeles. In November of the same year, Klum opened up to People about her new bundle of joy. “Everyone who sees him says, ‘Oh my god, he looks just like Seal.’ And I’m like, ‘He has nothing of me? C’mon, there must be something of me in there somewhere,'” she shared. “And they’re like, ‘No, sorry, he looks just like his father.'”

While Henry might’ve had his father’s looks, he developed his mom’s bold fashion sense. In 2008, Klum revealed to People that her kids loved to play dress-up in their giant costume closet, and Henry would experiment with wearing his sister’s princess dresses. “There’s nothing wrong with that,” she said, adding that the elegant dresses are “more fun than Buzz Lightyear.” Klum expanded on the topic again while speaking with Good Housekeeping in 2011, saying, “He lives in his own world. We went to dinner all dressed properly [and Henry wore dinosaur slippers]. You can barely walk in those things, but for him, it’s not weird at all.”

Henry’s interest in fashion has culminated in a budding modeling career. He made his runway debut at the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2025 show as part of Paris Fashion Week in January 2025. Klum commemorated the moment with a video captioned, “So proud of you Henry.”

Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel

Klum and Seal became boy parents again on November 22, 2006, with the arrival of their second son, Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel, in Los Angeles. The couple announced the news on Klum’s website. “He is healthy, beautiful and looks just like his mother,” the singer wrote. “To our children, a brother/ To our parents, a grandson/ To my wife and I, a son/ To our family, a blessing.”

Johan showed an interest in art at a young age. In 2013, his drawings became the inspiration behind his mom’s children’s clothing line. “While the other kids are watching a movie, he’ll sit down at his desk for 45 minutes and paint monsters one after another,” Klum told Parents  at the time. “He inspired me to create a line around monsters. Johan’s very proud he was a part of it. Sometimes he wears his shirt and tells everyone, ‘I painted this shirt!'”

Unlike his older siblings, Johan has stayed largely out of the spotlight. He did, however, support his dad at the Los Angeles premiere of The Book of Clarence in January 2024 alongside his siblings.

Lou Sulola Samuel

On October 9, 2009, Leni finally got a sister with the birth of Klum and Seal’s third child, Lou Sulola Samuel. The musician announced the news with a sweet tribute. “It’s difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children. Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another?,” he wrote. “On Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at 7:46 p.m., the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter. Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight.”

Taking after her mom, Lou has inherited a love of Halloween. Klum opened up about her youngest daughter’s shared interest in a 2021 interview with People, noting that her other kids “couldn’t care less.” She continued, saying, “I was hoping that I would pass this on even to my kids, but out of four, there’s only one that really is going for it and that’s Lou,” she explained, adding that Lou dressed up as an Anime character that year with “full on makeup, the hair, all the accessories.” Lou also loves to dance; Klum showed off her skills in a video of her doing a hip-hop routine with famous choreographer Miguel Zárate.
