During Selena Gomez’s speech at the Rare Impact Fund Benefit, she unintentionally brought up Sean Diddy Combs’s name, as quoted in a report by The Independent.
The 32-year-old star of Only Murders in the Building spoke at the charity’s second annual gala, which raises funds for organizations that support youth mental health services.
According to The Independent, On October 24, Selena Gomez addressed the audience at Nya Studios in Los Angeles, praising the Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services (DHMS) for their efforts in promoting youth mental health and suicide prevention initiatives.

Despite her commendable support, Gomez mistakenly referred to the center as “Diddy” instead of the correct pronunciation, which led to laughter from the crowd. She acknowledged her error with a smile, apologized to the audience.
Sean Diddy Combs was arrested by federal agents in September on suspicion of human trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Still incarcerated at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, the disgraced music mogul continues to enter a not guilty plea to the charges. He is being held without bond while he awaits the start of his trial in May of next year.
Numerous plaintiffs have since filed waves of lawsuits against the rapper, alleging sexual assault. The latest allegation is made by a woman who says Combs assaulted her when she was 13 at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.

All of the charges against the rapper have been refuted by Combs’s lawyers, who have referred to him as an innocent man with nothing to hide.
